We are so looking forward to celebrating our wedding weekend with you at Bushveld Game Farm.

Because this is a full weekend celebration and the venue works on a per-guest basis, we would love to gently clarify our plans regarding children so that everything is clear and comfortable for everyone.

Adults-Only Celebration

Our ceremony and reception will be an adults-focused celebration (16 years and older). We hope our guests will experience the weekend as an opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy a little time away from the beautiful (but busy!) rhythm of everyday family life.

The only exception is for the little ones who are part of our bridal party.

Children who do attend will not remain in the main reception area for the full evening.

Children's Arrangements (If Needed)

We completely understand that, with a destination weekend wedding, arranging childcare is not always simple. If you are unable to make alternative arrangements and need to bring your child(ren), this is how the evening will be structured:

• Children will enjoy their meal together at a designated children's table.
• After dinner, they will move to a separate, child-friendly space.
• This area will include:
  • Something to drink
  • Snacks
  • A movie
  • A comfortable space to relax or nap
• They will be under the supervision of two experienced and dedicated babysitters for the duration of the evening.

To help us manage our venue costs responsibly, we kindly ask that guests who bring children under 16 cover the venue's per-head fee for their child. This cost will be confirmed and updated once we get the relevant information from the venue.

While we have chosen caregivers we trust fully and are taking thoughtful steps to ensure the children are comfortable and well looked after, we do ask for understanding that we cannot accept liability in the unlikely event of accidents. Every reasonable measure will be taken to ensure a safe and supervised environment.

If your invite does not include a guest but you would love to bring someone along, you're welcome to mention this on your RSVP. Should we be able to accommodate them within our final numbers, we kindly ask that the venue's per-head fee for your additional guest be covered by you.
